How to apply for tuition assignments in Singapore

With the increasing importance of education in Singapore, tuition has become a necessity for many Singaporeans. Tuition Assignments can be found in almost all corners of Singapore and here are many ways in which you can take advantage of the situation.

However, for the inexperienced tutor, it would be difficult to find tuition assignments, let alone teach. Most people would ask around for students on who wants to be taught tuition.

Most tuition assignments come from tuition agencies, who source for tuition assignments for tutors. These agencies usually do a good job in finding students and save tutors the time of finding assignments for themselves. You should take advantage of that and use these agencies to find assignments for you instead of finding them yourself. It would save you a lot of time in the long run.

So the goal here is to get on the radar of as many tuition agencies as much as possible, so that you can be informed of assignments. In time, you would receive so many tuition assignment updates that you might even get the chance to choose tuition assignments!

There are in general two methods to get tuition assignments from tuition agencies.

1. Passively look for assignments
2. Actively look for assignments

The passive way to look for assignments is, well, passive... and here is how you are going to do it. You will register as a tutor in various tuition agency websites and wait. The tuition agencies are going to have your contact information and when they have a tuition assignment that they think you are going to be interested in, and they will contact you.

All you have to do is to reply to that message and they will let you know if you have been selected by the parent to be their tutor. Simple as this method may seem, there is a drawback. Using this method means that if agencies do not have tuition assignments for you, you might have to wait indefinitely to receive an update from them.

There is a solution to this problem to give you more control in finding assignments.

You can also actively look for assignments to shorten the time needed for you to find assignments. Rather than sitting duck, you can look for tuition assignments on the web and contact agencies directly. Such assignments can be found mostly on forums, and to find these forums, you can google “tuition assignments”

Actively looking for tuition assignments can give you more control over how long you have to wait before finding assignments and the finding the assignment that you want.
